JOB SUMMARY

 

We are seeking a senior project manager to support our client’s hospital redevelopment and expansion project.

 

The consultant will work as a member of the clinical operations project management team, to provide project management support to clinical leads and/or other clinical operations workstreams.

 

 

ACTIVITIES & DELIVERABLES

Under the direction of the Projects Director or Leader, Strategic Transformation Team (STT) / Clinical Project Lead, and working as a member of the Project Team,  the contractor will be responsible to:

·         Review and understand the Redevelopment and Expansion project.

·         Review and understand the Project Governance structures, committees, and stakeholders.

·         Apply project management and change management methodologies, using existing project templates and other tools as required to support the planning and implementation required on both the technical and people side of change, to achieve operational readiness for the various project components.

·         Facilitate discussion to assist teams with planning and decision making.

·         Ongoing evaluation of effectiveness of project management and change management strategies.

·         Performing other related duties to support the overall planning, coordination and implementation of the project, as required.

 

CONTRACT DURATION:

Between 20-40 hours per week, from January 28, 2013 through to December 31, 2014, with possible extension(s).

 

LOCATION:

On site in Surrey, British Columbia

 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

·         Recent successful application of project and change methodologies and experience related to clinical services planning and implementation

·         Knowledge of the workings of hospital-based healthcare operations and systems

·         Understanding of the healthcare marketplace and the changing Canadian health approach to managing training and orientation

·         Exceptional English language oral and written communication, facilitation and presentation skills

·         Project management professional (PMP) designation or equivalent project management experience
