Senior Technical Lead

JOB SUMMARY
Our client is currently seeking a Senior Technical Lead to perform work as it relates to the tasks required for the pre-implementation, strategic change management and project implementation/rollout tasks to implement a Commercially Available off the Shelf (COTS) solution and related standard business processes.

CONTRACT DURATION
6-month contract with possible 18-month extension.
ACTIVITIES & DELIVERABLES
The technical lead will provide direction to and coordinate the work of the technical teams and implementation of the technical solution as assigned. The technical lead will:
· Lead the solution architect, technical, security and data conversion teams/work.
· Ensure all technical components are aligned.
· Ensure delivery of products related to architecture (including system interfacing/integrating), technology, security, and data conversion and migration are completed as appropriate/assigned.
· Work with the Provincial Project Manager, vendor and SMEs to identify a data conversion strategy, including approach for data standardization, consolidation and migration.
· Conduct work and assist in coordinating activities for a COTS solution implementation including working with the vendor, technical groups and SMEs as appropriate to identify the requirements, design and implement solution architecture, and design, develop and convert/migrate data for the Health Authorities (HAs) to the new Solution, including data cleansing and mapping.
· Work with HSSBC and support HAs technical resources as appropriate.
· Collect status and communicate to the Provincial Project Manager on a regular basis.
· Identify, manage and escalate technical related risks to the Provincial Project Manager as required.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
· Proven track record working and leading technical implementations on large multi entity projects;
· Experience with system implementations;
· Experience producing technical/systems documentation including technical architecture, technical use cases and test scenarios;
· Experience identifying requirements for and facilitating acquisition of hardware and software;
· Experience or be familiar with data models – conceptual, logical and physical, as well as data mapping;
· Experience with data/system integration and data conversion/migration.
· Experience conducting testing, including system, integration and regression testing.
· Experience with release management including migration preparation and release.
· Exceptional English language oral and written communication, facilitation, presentation and leadership skills
ASSETS
· Familiarity or experience with system environment and infrastructure set up.
· Experience within a healthcare environment
· Knowledge of the workings of Medical Administration operations including the process of Credentialing and granting privileges to practitioners within the Health Authority environment/arena
· COTS system implementation experience
· Integration knowledge and experience implementing interfaces including but not limited to HL7 and XML
