Senior Implementation Coordinator, UAT

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a Senior EMR Implementation Coordinator to coordinate multiple aspects of EMR implementation, including:

·         Comprehensive UAT for EMR enhancements

·         Inventory management (recording and prioritizing new requirements)

·         Project tracking

·         Governance support

 

Location:  Toronto, ON

 

Duration: 6-month contract beginning April 2013, with possibility of extension

 

Requirements

The Senior Implementation Coordinator will report to the Senior EMR Implementation Lead and will work closely with other IMS project team members and EMR vendor to:

 

·         Recruit, manage and train/mentor a wide spectrum of sector resources (RDSSs, NPs, HP, DMCs, Physicians…) that will comprise the UAT teams. Note that there will be different teams responsible for the testing of different types of development changes.

·         Develop UAT test plan and schedule, test cases and test report templates on behalf of the sector

·         Work with sector UAT resources to review test plans, etc. and to develop test data

·         Coordinate the UAT teams as they conduct test cycles

·         Report test results to EMR Team and various governance groups (e.g. BAC, IMC, Steering Committee)

·         Work with various vendors providing error reports and managing resolution process

·         Create and manage an inventory of requirements identified by the sector (either through UAT or implementation activities)

·         Create a process by which sector requirements are prioritized for change requests or for inclusion in the provincial specification

·         Establish, in conjunction with eHealth Ontario, the mechanisms and processes by which sector requirements are included in the provincial specification

·         Investigate cross-regional interfaces

·         Create, implement and monitor project tracking mechanisms including project plans, status reports, implementation status tracking, etc

·         Develop material for governance bodies, member meetings, etc related to the EMR Implementation project

 

Mandatory Candidate Requirements

·         Minimum of 10 years experience in quality assurance and / or user acceptance testing

·         Knowledge of systematic approaches to verifying product enhancements

·         Demonstrated knowledge of electronic medical record systems

·         Experience in primary care or other health care systems

·         Excellent planning and organizing skills to plan and coordinate projects, resources and reports, and to prioritize work among competing demands

·         Proven ability to mentor, coach and facilitate testing with end users

·         Exceptional interviewing, data-gathering and analysis skills

·         Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills to respond articulately, knowledgeably and pleasantly to a range of inquiries

·         Excellent written communication skills using both technical and business language

·         Skilled in developing training materials and training users on technology

·         Strong computer skills

·         Knowledge of issues and risk management processes with experience in tracking and

·         managing end to end stakeholder / client resolution

·         Experience in working independently and within a team environment

 

Assets

·         Knowledge of CHCs and related associations and ehealth program organizations such as Canada Health Infoway is an asset

·         Previous working relationships with participating organizations is an asset

·         Bilingual English/French language is an asset
